Geoffrey Portway, 47, is serving a 27-year sentence in a Virginia prison.
A convicted pedophile who planned to eat minors in a torture cell at his home in Worcester, Virginia, asked authorities to be released from jail due to his risk of contracting coronavirus.
Geoffrey Portway, 47, is currently serving a 27-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to the kidnapping of a minor and the possession and distribution of child pornography.
Portway was sentenced in 2013 after a raid on his home on Beechmont Street, where pornographic material was seized and the dungeon where he planned to rape, torture, murder and eat minors was discovered.
Now, Portway has petitioned the court for compassionate release on the grounds that more than 40 cases of the disease have been reported in the federal prison in which he is found and is a high-risk patient.
According to the prisoner’s argument, his obesity exposes him to serious complications in cases of contracting COVID-19.
Portway’s plan is to move to England, his home country.
The authorities have not responded to the inmate’s request.
